About The KHB1231OB

The KHB1231OB is a good choice for people looking for an immersion blender for smoothies and milk shakes!

The non slip grip provided to be incredibly useful in our wet kitchen and the blending jar accessory was perfect for mixing ingredients inside of. For our blender experiments we used the immersion blender to try and cook many common โ€œblenderโ€ foods including smoothies, milkshakes, crushed ice and even egg whites. In every test the blender preformed better than we could ever imagine and left use with quite a bit of delicious food to eat, and most importantly minimal cleanup.

Pros:

There are many benefits to consider when looking at theย Kitchenaid 2-Speed Immersion Blender. First of all its price, at around $50 you will be getting a blender that can take on even the most complex recipes. And because it is Kitchenaid and built out of stainless steel it will last in your kitchen for many years to come. Another benefit of this model is that it is dishwasher safe, making clean up a breeze at the end of your meal.

Cons:

One of the downsides we found for this product was a gasket that could come loose. After some wear and tear the gasket behind the mixing blade can sometimes come loose and food can get trapped and start to rot in there. While this may seem like a big problem in reality it is easily fixed by simply giving the blender a thorough cleaning after every usage.

Summary:

In the end we highly recommend this hand blender for cooks of any expertise level. It is very versatile and can handle any task in front of it. While there is a slight problem with a gasket in some circumstances it is easily avoided and the benefits clearly out weigh the cost, especially considering what a bargain it is.
